When one thinks of great locations for a pet photography session many people wouldn’t consider the downtown of any city. But urban locations are wonderful for injecting colour, vibrancy, and just an overall unique backdrop for photographs.

Bold colours such as graffiti walls found downtown St. Catharines are great for making subjects forefront and centre in images!

Repeating patterns and rich colours and textures like this old iron gate work well to draw the eye to your beautiful subject.

This piece of architecture found in front of the court house downtown St. Catharines makes a statement.

Jo Jo here is posing downtown on busy James Street in St. Catharines. The use of a 70-200mm lens zoomed in all the way and a small aperture make all the busy elements of the downtown area fade away so the pup is definitely the star of the image.
